Bialowieza, Poland 1997

Reporting for a family cycling magazine, Bridget visited one of Poland’s greatest features, the highly protected Bialowieza temperate rainforest. Haunt of European bison, a hideaway for Polish partisans during the war, and host to wolves which range between here and the forests of Belarus. Only possible to visit inside with authorised guides, Bridget assisted a wolf radio-tracking project.
