Northumberland 2000 ~ 2002
In the Cheviot Hills of Northumberland, in the early 2000s, Bridget accompanied women shepherds as they managed their flocks. With their trained collies, Sue, Gwen, Judith and Nancy fed the pregnant ewes, took careful watch at lambing time and assisted if necessary. Year round, their tasks included rescuing lost lambs, administering medication, moving the flocks over the hills, and eventually taking the lambs to market.
