Transdniester 1998

A tiny slip of a land caught in a time warp, Transdniester is just across the river from Moldova, and in 1998 was still dedicatedly Communist. Bridget was able to slip through the border controls with the help of a local, and took photographs of Lenin and the Communist headquarters, visited a collective farm and both state and private shops, and sidled away before she was noticed by officialdom.
